Peran Fear of Missing Out dan Paparan Media terhadap Hubungan Parasosial: Studi Kuantitatif pada Penggemar JKT48

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dan paparan media terhadap hubungan parasosial pada penggemar JKT48. Sebanyak 302 penggemar JKT48 berusia minimal 17 tahun, aktif menggunakan media sosial, dan memiliki ketertarikan terhadap JKT48 minimal tiga bulan, yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling, dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner daring dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dan paparan media secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hubungan parasosial pada penggemar JKT48, F(2,299) = 108,4, p < 0,001, R² = 0,420. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dan paparan media secara bersama-sama menjelaskan 42,0% varians hubungan parasosial. Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) memberikan kontribusi yang lebih besar (β = 0,578) dibandingkan paparan media (β = 0,141) dalam memprediksi hubungan parasosial. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dan paparan media yang dimiliki penggemar, semakin tinggi pula hubungan parasosial yang terbentuk dengan member JKT48. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi empiris mengenai Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dan paparan media dalam pembentukan hubungan parasosial pada penggemar JKT48. Secara praktis, temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya kesadaran penggemar untuk membatasi diri dalam mengikuti perkembangan idola secara berlebihan, serta tetap memprioritaskan tanggung jawab dan hubungan sosial di kehidupan nyata.
